Under the cover of darkness and a lush green forest, we will be scaling a mountain not many go to. While the top offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain ranges, (Naneghat-Dhakoba to the east, Ahupe ghat to the south and Siddhagad to the south-west) the trek itself is absolutely serene. Gorakhgad has been home to many ascetics and holy men over the centuries, where they'd go to meditate. The mountain gets its name from a saint by the name of Gorakhnath.
